Some Bad News Today

We received some bad news this morning. Doctors suspect little Eden has Edward Syndrome (Trisomy 18). This is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of an extra 18th chromosome. If this is true, the prognosis is very grim. About 95% die in utero. Of liveborn infants, only 50% live to 2 months, and only 5–10% will survive their first year of life.

We continue to pray that the doctors are wrong. The blood tests will tell us more, but the fact that Eden has not been able to keep her oxygen levels up and her heart has a few issues points to this disorder.

Our God is bigger than a silly little extra 18th chromosome! The maker of the universe can give life and take it away. We trust in Him to do what's best and continue to pray for a miraculous healing.

We have confidence in our Lord and know that He will cradle Eden in His hands and sustain both of you with His strong arms. His plan for your family is still unfolding. The Lord can bless in all circumstances and honours those who trust in Him.
We continue to pray.....

Eden's here for a reason. My heart aches for her struggle, but my prayer's are for God's Will to be manifested through her, for Eden's brand new spark to be fanned into a Storm, and for continued peace to be bestowed upon her parents.

Love you guys. Rejoice in the hope of the glory of God...And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Rom 5:2-5 - Christina

"Some Bad News Today" - I can hear your heart. Where would we be without THE GOOD NEWS TODAY!!! I'm praying for dad-mom-eden. The photo of mum looking down at little Eden is so precious.

Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion?
My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth,
but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him,
from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

2 Chronicles 16:9 - 'The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the Earth that He may strongly support those whose hearts are completely His.

I had worse odds that God would save me and now I know the Lord Jesus Christ. I would say Eden has pretty good odds!!! Thank you Lord for Eden.
